James graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and then went on to obtain his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2024.
James held the position of Financial Controller within the Environmental Services Group of the Municipal Group of Companies for over seven years. During this time, he oversaw the acquisition and amalgamation of multiple waste management companies. James also spent over eight years as Financial Controller of Perfection Realty Inc., overseeing the budgeting, evaluating, financing, and management of multiple large scale commercial and residential development projects. James joined the heavy truck division of Steele Auto Group in 2025.
When not at the office, James is an avid motorcyclist which led him to become a founding member of the Maritime ADV Riders Association where he is a member of the Board of Directors, currently holding the position of Vice President and Treasurer.
